Funerary parrot

Small urn with a funerary parrot carved on its lid. The piece is painted in semi matte black with mottling caused by rutile. The inner part of the vessel is painted in an intense cobalt blue and it’s covered with precious crystallizations.

Enamels of my own formula, except for the yellow ones, which are commercial enamels.

Made out of albino refractory clay with light chamotte.

Heated at 1250 °C
